It was rosettes galore at 2023 Fun Dog Show. The sun was shining and there were some very excited dogs. There were 9 different classes to enter, alongside the ‘Retrieve Challenge’ and ‘Agility Course’ so it was no surprise some dogs struggled to find space on their collar for all the rosettes they won.
That said, this year, no dog managed to beat the time of 23 seconds around the agility course set by trustee, Benn Hitchen.
Guinness the rescue dog and Milo the puppy Cockerpoo were our 2023 winners of Best in Show.
It was also a great day out under the warm sun, for both young and old, to enjoy spectating the performances, which is what the Gratton is all about.
Our sincere thanks to Emily-Jane Aylett from Green Lane Groomers for judging this year’s event, and to the Victoria Hall for lending us their PA system. However, the event could not have happened without the Gratton Trustees, in particular Elspeth MacDonald for masterminding the event, and Gary Dale for stepping in at the last minute to compere.
This event managed to raise over £500 towards our new lawnmower appeal. Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed on the day.
