Behind the scenes the Gratton Trustees have been working hard to keep the Gratton lush and green. I am not only referring to Mark and his shiny new lawn mower, but also our latest initiative to add more loft insulation to the Pavilion.

The Pavilion was of course already insulated, and earlier this year we had solar panels installed, which I’m sure you’ve all seen. Well, having seen the inside of the loft for the first time, during the solar panel installation, the Trustees thought there was capacity to add a little more insulation.

It was a tough and tedious task, but over the course of two evenings and a weekend the Trustees managed to lay at least and extra 100mm of non-combustible insulation across the whole expanse of the Pavilion loft…and it’s bigger than you think!

This will keep the Pavilion cosy for any future short or long term tenants, and reduce the electric bill, which of course is kindly paid for by your generous donations. We literally couldn’t do it without you.
